21 years agency experience… and the stories to prove it
Too many agency founders are stretched too thin, MacBook open at all hours, but still not making enough money, questioning if it’s worth it. But with the right plan, this can all change.
Hi, I’m Kelly Molson, the Lifestyle Agency Advisor.
Having grown an agency from kitchen table to the leading name in its niche, I’ve white-knuckled my way through the agency life roller coaster.
And since exiting, I’m determined to help founders like you have a much smoother time of it! I’m here to show you that it is possible to:
• Be more profitable and be there for school pick-ups, or go surfing on a Friday
• Have a process that means leads don’t dry up, even if you’re busy doing other things
• Do work that lights you up, without letting it take over everything else
My job as an advisor is to get you there with equal parts strategy, critical thinking, and supportive cheerleading. My clients say it’s like having another co-founder (but without giving away half the profits).

The story of my agency
My co-founder and I grew an agency from a crazy idea into something really special. We worked with global brands such as Pernod Ricard and Chivas Brothers, won numerous creative awards and the Inspiring Herts Business of the Year in 2019. I could not be more proud of the achievements of the team. It was a true privilege to lead it for so long.
In 2019, we fully pivoted the agency into its niche, establishing ourselves as the leading web design agency for visitor attractions. During that time, I led major web development projects for Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, Beefeater Gin Visitor Centre, National Parks UK, Holkham and Pensthorpe.
I created and hosted the UK’s No.1 sector podcast, Skip the Queue, and developed the initiative and marketing strategy for groundbreaking insight pieces such as the Visitor Attraction Website Report.
Speaking internationally at events for ALVA, ASVA, AVEA, BALPPA, and sector conferences, including the Visitor Attractions Conference and Ticketing Professionals Conference, I became a leading figure within the visitor attractions industry.
After 21 years, I successfully exited the agency, enabling me to now share all the learnings, frameworks, and strategies with founders who also want to build something special.
The other side of the story
One of the reasons founders like having me on their side is that I haven’t always had a life I loved.
All the while I was leading the agency, speaking on stages, and winning awards like Business Woman of the Year at the SME Hertfordshire Business Awards, I was going through the worst times of my life.
Until becoming a mother to our daughter (by far my greatest achievement) my husband and I went through 8.5 years of infertility. We’ve been through 8 rounds of IVF, 5 pregnancies, the loss of 5 longed-for babies, the stillbirth of our twins and a devastating termination for medical reasons. We shared our story with Tommy’s to help raise awareness of TFMR.
I’ve been that woman running a business from a hospital bed, and I don’t want that for anyone else.

And a few other things you need to know
My mission is to support solo founders to build the agency they want. But I also want to show the agency world that ‘lifestyle agency’ is not a cop out. It’s the future of our industry’s sustainable growth.
And a few more things… I hate peas, but love sausage rolls. And biscuits. All of them.
I’m deeply proud to be from Essex, but North Norfolk also has my heart.

Why small agencies are the future
Did you know that almost 90% of the sector is made up of agencies that are between 1 and 10 people? Small agencies prop up our industry.
Yet all we ever read on LinkedIn is that if you’re not pushing for multi-millions, a bigger team or building to sell, you’re not ambitious enough. It’s BS. My clients are the most driven, ambitious people I’ve ever met.
Lifestyle agencies aren’t settling for less. Being deliberately small is a strategic way to do great work. It means you can be nimble, focused, and innovative. We’re here for the long haul, and we’re the ones to watch…
